One Book Meme
Ryan Jones tagged me with this "One Book Meme", so apparently I get to answer a few questions and then tag a few other people. Swell.
At the end of this, everyone will know just how little depth I really have. Let the humiliation begin, I guess.
1. One book that changed your life:
Learning Perl (1st Edition, now in it's 4th Edition) by Randall L Schwartz
2. One book that you’ve read more than once:
I had read the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis several times before coming to faith in Christ- the first time in elementary school- but the light never went on until after I had become a Christian as a twenty-something. Doh! I have enjoyed the books at least a few times since.
3. One book you’d want on a desert island:
I'm not sure, but it must have lots of pages and no shiny paper!
4. One book that made you laugh:
A collection of Dorothy Parker poems.
5. One book that made you cry:
Men cry? ;-)
6. One book that you wish had been written:
The one that I might have authored, if I could stay focused for more than five minutes. Oooooh! Shiny buttons! Seriously, I read much more as a child and young adult, and I also wrote some short stories and poetry, but nothing in a very long time.
7. One book that you wish had never been written:
Easy! That would have to be the Necronomicon. Or, at least I could have remembered the three words!
8. One book you’re currently reading:
The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read:
Out of the Silent Planet (trilogy) by C. S. Lewis (again.) (Also the name of a sweet album by King's X!)
10. Now tag five people:
Dave Coy Lisa Steve MomOnFire
