they had a piano for me to play! I loved it!



No pictures of this, but my other favorite thing about the place we stayed were the cows. It was a ranch (Pilgrim Ranch, Cottonwood Falls, KS), and the cows were very loud, since the calves had just been weaned. I kept wanting Mom and Dad to take me out where I could see the "mmmmmm" s. (That's how I say, "moo".)

Fred's sister Julia had us looking for all sorts of things! Here we're waiting for Abby to (hopefully) come back with a prickly pear. We're waiting since I couldn't quite get over the barbed-wire fence in my stroller.

This picture is taken out on the rolling prairie of the Flint Hills in Kansas. Closest town, I think, is Bazaar. It's Saturday morning and we were out seeing the sites.
